Quite a number of software developers have also introduced their respective office productivity apps.
However, heavy-duty typing remains incomparable in desktop or laptop computers. Touchscreen keyboards are too small while attachable keyboards can be too big and device-specific.
Microsoft, however, has introduced a portable and foldable universal keyboard. It folds down the middle and connects via Bluetooth.
Unfold the keyboard and it automatically powers on and connects wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled smartphones and tablets.
Accordingly, the company has specifically designed its universal keyboard for heavy-duty writing on the go. Thus, it makes the device as an accessory of Android devices, iPhones, iPads, Windows tablets, and Windows phones. With a thinness of 5mm, the universal keyboard easily fits into purse, bag, or pocket.
The device can also connect to two smartphone or tablet devices. Thus, with a press of a button, a user can easily switch between smartphones or tablets while still using the same keyboard.
Additional feature includes a water repellant keyset and fabric thereby making the universal keyboard spill-resistant and more durable.
This universal keyboard from Microsoft went on sale at Microsoft Store and several retailers starting July 2015 with an MSRP of $99.95. Watch the video for more information.
